A Name and A Giveaway

Okay, I really need your help everyone! I can't figure out what to name my child! When I was pregnant with my first I had my favorite boy and favorite girl name all picked out and ready to go. So when I found out that it was a boy then he immediately became Ethan. Now I still have my favorite girl name available, but no girl to go with it so I'm in a desperate search for a great boys name. I will tell you the two names that I've been kind of "throwing around" for awhile, but I'm just not feeling it yet....I had a dream a few weeks ago (before I found out it was a boy) that I was holding a little baby and his name was Maxwell. I had never even thought of that name before ever and go figure why that name was in my head, but there it is. So Maxwell is one possibility (for a first or middle) and then other one is Andersen, but I'm just not sure. I need some other names to choose from. So here's the deal... Give me some great boy names and if I actually use your name then I will send you the most wonderful prize. I'm not quite sure what the prize will be yet, but just know that it will be good. Your naming my child for crying out loud! So help me out and give me some good ones!

Personally, I like Malachi and Jacob. But, that's me. I'm thinking about Gabriel for my little boy- if it's a boy. It's funny that we've all got our names picked out and the second one of the same sex really throws us all off!

I like Eli and Owen. They would be cute with either Maxwell or Anderson. If I ever have another boy, I am going to name him Crocker. Good Luck!

I also like the name Anderson---but Steve was a no go on it:( I think Maxwell is cute and everyone would call him Max (unless you were against that?) I think the names you've got going are great:) Boys are SO HARD to name....we totally had a girl name too! I like Samuel for first or middle too--

What about James Terry Elmer? What a great idea huh?

I like both of those names. My dads name is Max Anderson Bruce, so both those names are special to me. Anderson is on my list too!

I like Maxwell, then you can call him Max for short. See what goes better with your last name. Boys are harder to name than girls, I think. They have to be masculine and "tough" sounding. I'll keep my ears open for any other names I hear.

I am inspired for you...Cameron James (or whatever your dad's name is)
I know, I know, thank me later.

Ok the others are cute too.

p.s. could be cameron thomas(after you know who:)

First off I'm not giving you any of ours because they'll all be taken by the time we get them here. But I did do some sincere pondering. Bueford/Buford or Jamie comes to mind first (Maybe Jamie Bueford Elmer). I think that those will give your son the psychological strength to face the battle of adulthood from a very early age. From an economic perspective Aaron is great. You already have a shirt with it on there that he can wear every other day so you'd only have to get him one other item of clothing. (seriously though... if you don't use Aaron I want my shirt back, E-dawg is my boy so he can represent but we have to see about this next one. Did my mom give you that? *sigh* no love in this family, I swear.)

After further study I will give you a couple of ones Teana and I have thought about beyond our top couple... you may not like them but here ya go. Aden (I prefer Aaden because it is a "Aa" like me.)
Austin
Taylor or Tailor
Gavin
Harrison
Javen

(One night I couldn't sleep so I went through for about 2+ hours of the baby names online. I got to K I think)

I like Maxwell if he goes by Max in school. I'd probably make fun of a Maxwell (unless he was an Apostle, then he's the man)

Anderson... that's my boy on CNN. He's a stud and since we associate names with people I can say it's at least a good stage name.

You probably have no desire but you CAN'T name him Ezekiel. I know it's probably not tempting but that's our first born. (I know you'll never use our girl names cuz they're more weird. (It's like I'm writing a blog on your blog... how cool! (that's in my 12yr old voice)

I think boys' names are so hard! I think Maxwell and Andersen are both really cute. I also like Carter- that was Jarom's backup name in case I backed out of Jarom. :) Good luck! I think naming babies is hard! :)

We haven't chosen a name yet either, and it's driving me crazy so I know what you mean! A few of my favorite boy names--at least ones that we haven't used yet :)
Andrew, Lake, and Jason

Good luck in your name search! It's so tough to choose!

I thought long and hard about this today, and I think that Noah would be a great first name with either of those that you like as a middle name.

Noah Maxwell Elmer

Noah Andersen Elmer

I'd say thanks for the entry, but really I should say good luck picking from all these great options! :)

David Terry Elmer
OR
David Graham Elmer

(If you want to, you can call him Dave for short)

I hope you like it...

Have you considered Zebediah? How sweet would it be to call your kid "Ol' Zeb"?

More seriously, what about Taylor, Tyson, or Jeremy? Or Christopher.

I'm really feeling Maxwell or Edgar okay just kidding on the Edgar, but I think Maxwell is a swell name for a little fellow.

BTW the aussie elmer's comment is possibly the funnies blog comment I've ever read " From an economic perspective Aaron is great. You already have a shirt with it on there that he can wear every other day so you'd only have to get him one other item of clothing."

Maxwell is a really popular name right now--there are 3 little ones in our ward. I really like Anderson--then maybe shorten it to Andy--I wanted to call Andrew Andy but it didn't work out. I also like Elijah shortened to Eli--I mostly like the Ely part but it wouldn't have worked for us because Elijah and Eliza--people were think we were really smoking something! Anyway--good luck--I was so stressed out naming Isaac!

I think you should stick with the "E" theme you've got going. I like: Everett, Elliott, Evan, Ezra, Elijah, Elisha, hmmm I'm sure I'll come up with more later. Good luck on naming your little one.

Ok...Brit. I think it should be Maxwell. I saw this post as soon as you wrote it, and tried to leave a note about why you should choose maxwell and the computer glitched and so I didnt bother retyping it. But i find it very coincidental that I was going to be the first comment and i was going to suggest maxwell and then 10 others decided to do it too...that means he shall be called Maxwell...its meant to be!

I really like Maxwell, mMax for short would be really cute. I also like Jacob. You could name him Jacob Terry Elmer, and call him Jake for short. I think Ethan and Jake sounds cute together!

ok so because I don't know you, I am Steph Reads cousin and you don't live by me I guess I can give you some of my boy names. I love Anderson too. My son is Hudson, love it. I also love Sawyer, Bowen, Smith, Samuel, Briggs is one I just heard, and I like Harrison. Good luck, its fun but hard to name kids.

We almost named our son Jabren because it is original and we like it. But we went with Jacob William after my husband and my daddy.

This is mike Van Dyke and this post kind of reminds me of a little post that Eric Nielsen made on craigslist only his post was that whoever came up with the best plan for that old red car we had would get it for free. Too bad I don't have that car anymore because you could have given that for the prize and then you would probably have had about 10,000 replies to your post and blogger would have to shut you down. But anyway, I think you should just go with michael ryan, or ryan michael because those are both very prestigeous names(if that is how you spell prestigeous) and he would go far in life with a name like that. Good luck.
