Drumroll Please.....

Okay, are you guys ready to hear what we're having? I was kind of nervous going to the ultrasound because you're always worried if the baby is okay and that they may find something on the ultrasound. I was also nervous because I will be finding out if I would be stepping into new parenting boundaries if we have a girl or if Ethan will have a "partner in crime." So here's the news....

We have a very healthy and very very active little BOY! That's right, the Elmer boy gene continues on again. The only ultrasound picture that they gave me to take home was only his special boy parts so I'm not going to post that for his sake. I feel terrible because I left my cellphone in my scripture case because I needed to keep time for my lesson yesterday so I don't have it down here at my Mom's house. So I'm sorry if I haven't personally called you and you're finding out through my blog. I just don't have your number with me.

So anyway, the ultrasound went really well and the baby was moving around a lot. The doctor says we have a really active baby and I told him that I wasn't surprised. So I think I will be trading in my running shoes for roller blades to keep up with these 2 little guys. I can just imagine the wonderful things that Ethan will teach "baby" to get into. Despite the extra mischief, I am so happy that Ethan will have a little brother and I know he will be so good to him. We are so excited for our little baby boy!

Yay, for a boy! Now he and Emma can fall in love, get married, and we can be in-laws!!! Do you think our kids will go for an arranged marriage?

Yeah Brit and Co!!!! So glad you're still blogging so we can see your exciting news!!!! I am SO happy for you! Hard to believe that by the next time I see you'll be the proud mama of two boys!!!

Britley, As a numbers, I would add that the odds for Elmer boys (sons of Jim, Jerry, John, Jeff, or Joe Elmer) of having boys is 80%; 12 out of 15 so far. John & Jerry Elmer boys are 100%; 7 of 7. In short, I have no way of providing a statistical bit of hope for us having a girl. Chinese lunar calendar didn't work, maybe we can think of something else! I love you! -The Hub

Congrats!! It's always so nice to find out he's healthy and to be able to start planning, knowing it's a boy. I have to say, boys are so fun, even though they do run you ragged... (And you never know when the odds'll change--we thought we'd be having all boys for sure!)

Man, comment 23; talk about being just a number. That's exciting, it makes the pregnancy more real when I know what is inside of me.

I see that my blog's link has been kicked off your site. I can't believe I didn't make the cut! Oh well, I've never been in the 'popular group', I just didn't think it would carry over into my adult years :o(
