Depends on what the blog is for. I try and be careful about what I post about my kids, but honestly I think a bit of the whole "what's on the internet thing" is a bit blown out of proportion. I don't mean to say not to be careful. I do mean to say be realistic. :) For me, I enjoy having people from all over read my blog and comment. Enough to leave it public.
I have been debating the same thing and I know a lot of people have several blogs that way they can write private (journal things) and then one were everyone can take a look. I am still debating over the whole thing toooo just becuase I do have three little girls, my husband's profession and we live in a small town. I have been reading your comments on what to do and I still too am torn but I keep updating for my family's sake because My Mom would die without it.
i would love to email you my finds. what is your email address? I am not sure I have a current one. mine is ericassnow at gmail Call me anytime--I will email you with my phone number--I have a new cell number and I am not sure you have it. or maybe I will call you:)

Well you've driven away at least one reader (me) maybe that will ease your mind. Might as well go private cause who the hell wants to feel like their not good enough to read about your trivial life.
Honestly, judging by a lot of the comments, I think that too many people you do or don't know want to read your blog and would be rather dissapointed should you decide to go private---me included. Even if everyone is invited, it does make it harder to read and I for one don't read my private friends blogs as often as the others.. Also, who cares what others think about your blog. Just write what you want. If other people are truly offended, then what have you really lost---an annoying reader who doesn't care so much about what you are doing with your life as they care about how it affects theirs. I do want updates. Although we don't live in the States at the moment, I am excited to try some of your couponing tips once we move back. So please keep posting.
