They are their own individual teams and their parents are their teammates. So we kind of went on that kind of theme for awhile. Then I taught them about how Personal Progress helped me with the "game of life." I took a few of my projects that I did as a young woman and then told them how it helped me later in life. I gave some "plays" on how to accomplish personal progress. Afterwards I had them each talk about a project/experience that they accomplished and how it helped them in their life. I threw out little foam balls as a handout so they could "catch the vision" of Personal Progress. Well, the girls really liked the pep rally and all the leaders helped ham it up so it was really fun. I actually really like working on Personal Progress with the girls since the program is way different than when I went through Young Women's. Plus all the goals help me be better. You just can't lose! And the leaders don't have to do all the goals to get their recognition so it's a little bit easier to accomplish.

SWEET job, I think that when you use creativity YW activities are like 90% more fun.
They'll remember it, I promise you that (even if they don't do personal progress, they probably learned about accomplishing goals in general).
One year I wrote "no dating til' you're 16" on a bounce fabric softener sheet and sent it to camp (because it helps repell mosquitos) and I recently had 2 girls tell me they'd kept it. Amusing.
You're so creative, it sounds like you're doing great in Young Women's, and enjoying it. Don't you love a calling that's fun too?
What a clever way to get the girls excited. I'm sure they ate it up -the running man and all! You go!
