Mom, We Love To Drive You Crazy!

This was the title and picture on the front of my Mother's Day card this year. Sums it up quite nicely I think, haha. We headed out to Cabela's one night to pick up some camping gear for a family camp out. Yes, that's right, camping gear.

!!News flash!!

Ryan bought camping gear! I know, I had to pick my jaw up off the ground too! I think he's finally come to terms that father/son campouts will be happening and that his sons might not find sleeping in the van as fun as he does. I'm soooo not a camper either so this will all be new to me. I just hate waking up all sweaty and gross and having bugs all over the place. I guess it's something I'm just going to have to learn to love, right? Welcome to life with boys!

Oh my heavens, look at that gorgeous baby boy Max! I just love that little fella.
Camping Gear? Oh My! I'm SO glad that will be Eric's thing and NOT mine!
Come on! Have a girl and we can go on weekend trips with OUR daughters while the men are off braving the wild and getting nasty!! ;)
Love you,
MJ

Does this mean the bedroll that I sent Ryan in California has been taken out of the wrapping? It is great to see that Ryan has rehabilitated himself from his "Hotel Previa" days for the sake of the family. Oh, Britt, when the camping gets to you, just look up at those wide Texas skies full of stars . . . beautiful!!!

You will love spending time in the great outdoors with your boys. Many great talks with my Dad started around a campfire. (there were no other modern day interuptions) I would not trade those experiences for anything. Yeah Ryan, I am proud of you.

PS: when you get home.....those showers feel soooo good!
