A Date With E

When Ry left for Priesthood meeting on Saturday, E kept telling me he wanted to get in his car seat and "go drive!" I was having an ice cream craving so I figured why not. I drove him out to Dairy Queen and got him a dipped cone and thankfully Dairy Queen has these new take out cups that everything stays contained in the cup and you can transport your cone without spillage. Anyway...I told E I would take him to the park and we'd go eat our ice cream and go play. When we got there E was too excited to play that he bypassed the ice cream and headed straight for the tallest slide on the play place. He was wearing wind suit pants so when he started going down the slide he was going super fast. I swear it looked like it was straight out of Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football out away from Charlie Brown. He got to the bottom of the slide, flew a few feet, and landed flat on his back. The poor kid! He was so upset and covered in mulch! I had to contain my giggles since it was pretty funny to watch, but I composed myself and comforted him. He walked it off and never went on that slide again. Finally, he was a little bit interested in his ice cream cone and he just looked so cute eating it that I had to snag some pictures.
